Living in Provo
As the heart of Utah County, Provo blends the energy of a university town with a downtown that has genuinely come back to life. It is home to Brigham Young University, a growing tech scene, and some of the best canyon and mountain access in the valley, all wrapped in a walkable, spirited feel that is hard to find elsewhere in Utah.
Daily life in Provo has a rhythm you will not find in the quieter suburbs to the north. Downtown Center Street has filled in with local restaurants, coffee shops, and a First Friday art stroll, while BYU keeps a steady pulse of events, sports, and culture running through town. Mornings might start with a hike up the Y Mountain trail or a run along the Provo River Parkway, and weekends often mean a drive up Provo Canyon toward Bridal Veil Falls and Sundance. Commute
Provo sits right on I-15, so getting on the freeway takes just a few minutes from most neighborhoods. Silicon Slopes and the Lehi tech corridor are roughly 25 to 35 minutes north, and downtown Salt Lake City is about an hour, with FrontRunner commuter rail as an option from the Provo station.
New construction
As an established city, much of Provo is already built out, so new construction tends to show up as infill homes, townhomes, and condo projects rather than large new subdivisions. The east bench and edges of town see the most fresh building activity.
HOA & fees
